How do we pursue God’s vision for this church? by Fr. Dana

Simple Summary: 

• Basic Requirements
  An open heart
  The desire to obey
  An unconquerable love for Jesus
  A “Berean” attitude: testing what you hear against the whole of Scripture
• Building the Kingdom of God
  A tiny seed grows into a tree of protection
  The tree bears fruit
  Not every tree is of God
  Bad trees grow from a small beginning too – leaven
• Checking the fruit
  Good fruit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control
  Bad fruit: selfishness, strife, division, manipulating or controlling others
• What should we do?
  Do not bring offense
  Do not cause others to stumble
  Examine ourselves
  Repent of our sin
  Love one another in word and deed
