Sermon 30 Dec 2018

The Lord has done it! by Fr. Dana

Simple Summary:  We gather together to give to God and others, and to receive from God and others, that we may hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering.  We were placed under the guardianship of the Law, but it was never meant to be permanent.  We have become heirs, but we don’t become a mature child of God until we allow His Holy Spirit to make our decisions for us according to His principles.  At that point we begin to take possession of our promised inheritance.

Lectionary: Isaiah 61:10-62:3; Psalm 148; Galatians 4:1-7; Luke 2:22-40

Referenced Scriptures: Matthew 22:36-40; Hebrews 10:19-25; Matthew 3:14-15; Matthew 25:23; Matthew 19:5; Ephesians 5:31-32

Sermon 23 Dec 2018

You are loved with an everlasting love by Fr. Dana

Simple Summary:  God loves you – personally – more than you can imagine.  His love never fails.  Satan destroys relationships by lying about that fact.  Christmas is all about restoring relationships.

Referenced Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 13:8; Romans 8:38-39; John 13:34-35; John 11:1-37; Matthew 22:37-39; Matthew 24:12

Sermon 16 Dec 2018

Rejoice? by Fr. Dana

Simple Summary:  Advent is a little lent, a time to examine ourselves and evaluate our walk with the Lord.  It is also a time to rejoice.  How can these two seemingly opposing sentiments be compatible?

Lectionary: Zephaniah 3:14-20; Psalm 85:1-13; Philippians 4:4-9; Luke 3:7-18

Referenced Scriptures: Luke 22:31-32

Sermon 09 Dec 2018
